About Operational Excellence Lead

  Job Summary:

  The role is responsible for identifying and running complex and often multi-departmental continuous improvement projects or programs to support Payments Operations or initiatives as part of the O2C yearly business plan. The person in this role is able to use different project methods to achieve the result and is able to deliver tangible impacts to the business. The scope of the role includes: Identify and help prioritize projects and programs as input to the annual business planning cycle. Own projects and programs end-to-end aimed at improving the partner experience and/or improve the overall efficiency and/or effectiveness as output. Work globally on complex projects and programs with frequent interaction with a diverse range of stakeholders. Be the go-to person for the team when it comes to knowledge (e.g. project management, stakeholder management, etc.). The focus of the role is to: Improve the partner experience, Drive process efficiencies, and Support operational effectiveness.

  The role is part of the Operational Excellence team within the O2C Payments Operations function. This team supports our Payment Operations organization in delivering solutions that increase the efficiency and effectiveness of our Partner Payments teams. The Operational Excellence team is responsible for establishing a solid approach on identifying, classifying and optimizing tasks. Through this work we expect that Payment Operations can deliver timely payments to our partners and with that improve our overall partner experience.

  Responsibilities: Help to continuously refine our data driven process and system optimization approach to successfully deliver on our business plan and business needs Develop, train and coach process and system innovation capabilities within the Operational Excellence team Identify and pilot new technologies and methodologies from outside Booking.com that can contribute to our business Identify and prioritize process and system improvement areas using a range of ideation sources within Payment Operations Drive complex projects and programs utilizing a pragmatic approach that combines tools like lean six sigma and design thinking Provide regular progress reports to key stakeholders within Payment Operations Responsible for improving the processes and/or systems within a chosen domain (e.g. operational performance, system effectiveness, etc.) Drive process and system changes across multiple departments to support changes driven by other departments such as Product, Tax, Finance and Legal Document and assess implemented solutions to make sure they meet business objectives Serve as liaison between various Payment Operations functions, translate requirements, process recommendations and strategies Work independently with the internal team and external stakeholders Requirements: 5+ years of hands-on experience leading and delivering projects internationally and with a diverse stakeholder field Proven and certified project management or lean six sigma experience in a Payments or Finance Operations environment Proven track record working with data and using this to identify and drive change Independently be able to formulate and clearly define mitigation plans to reduce the project risks and provide clear and precise project progress updates Attention to detail, adaptability, self-starter, and high degree of personal accountability Ability to communicate effectively within all levels of the company Ability and wish to continuously learn new concepts and project methodologies Pre- Employment Screening:
