Job Description
* Preparing and dispensing medications to oncology patients.
* Monitoring patient drug therapy and providing consultations to healthcare professionals regarding drug interactions, dosages, and side effects.
* Entering and verifying patient chemotherapy regimens.
* Collaborating with the cancer care team to craft individualized treatment plans, ensure a current and accurate medication list, select the most appropriate therapy, monitor the effects of medications prescribed, and manage the adverse effects that often accompany cancer treatment.
* Providing disease state and drug therapy education for physicians and staff.
* Participating in PGY1/PGY2 residency programs, student-based services, and other training programs
Skills and Requirements
-active FL pharmacy license
-graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy (Pharm.D.)
ASHP PGY1 certificate and 2+ years of clinical practice within oncology OR ASHP PGY2 certificate within oncology or
an anticipated completion of a PGY2 Oncology Residency within the 2024 year -BCOP (board certified oncology pharmacist) null
