Job Description Summary
The Research Aide, under general supervision, is responsible forrecruiting and interviewing patients, performing data collection andstorage functions, administrative duties, and literature searches forseveral research studies. Will collect, transcribe, code, clean andenter data.

Job Description
The Research Aide will:
Assists in patient recruitment and data collection and retrievesmedical record information.Maintains an inventory of data collection forms to ensure ease ofdata retrieval.Assists in the construction of data tables and the preparation ofmaterials for presentations.Conducts literature searches, copying and distributing articles asappropriate.Performs all other duties that may be assigned in the best interestof the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab.Reporting Relationships
Reports directly to Research Scientist or Principal Investigator,reporting relationship will vary based on department structure.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
Work requires communication and mathematics skills normally acquiredin High School.Familiarity with medical terminology.Ability to accurately review and enter project data.Analytical ability required to prepare reports, maintains datainventory, and perform literature searches.Some typing required in order to prepare correspondence.Interpersonal skills needed to interact effectively with patients,physicians and all Institute staff as well as to effectively workwith supervisors from various research projects.Working Conditions
