Position Summary
This role will sit in the recruitment team, which is part of a wider c50 strong People department in London.
As the face of White & Case for all new joiners, you will play a pivotal role in providing a warm and welcoming experience to our new employees to compliment an excellent recruitment process. You will be responsible for ownership of the candidate experience from an individual accepting our offer, to welcoming them on their first day at the firm, guiding them and the recruitment team through the process end to end. Your primary focus will be managing all preboarding administration tasks and fostering positive relationships with new employees, ensuring a seamless and efficient induction on day one.
The role also involves collaborating with various departments, including people advisory, hiring managers, and other team members, to facilitate a comprehensive onboarding program that aligns with the firm's values and goals.
Duties and Accountabilities
Execute and oversee the entire preboarding process for new employees, including handling paperwork, background & conflict checks, and other administrative tasks. Leverage onobarding platforms (e.g. HireRight) to manage preboarding processes Liaise with the new joiner and hiring manager to define a mutually suitable start date Serve as the primary point of contact for new joiners, providing them with a warm welcome and addressing any initial queries or concerns they may have. Coordinate with various departments to ensure that new employees have the necessary tools, equipment, and resources to perform their roles effectively from day one. Collaborate with People Advisory and other relevant teams to develop and implement effective onboarding strategies and programs that promote a positive employee experience. Organize and conduct Induction sessions to familiarize new employees with the Firm's culture, values, policies, and procedures. Conduct regular check-ins with new employees to ensure their smooth transition and integration into the organization, addressing any issues that may arise during the onboarding process Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employee preboarding activities and ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements. Continuously identify areas for improvement in the preboarding process and implement necessary enhancements to streamline and optimize the overall experience. Contribute to building and fostering a collaborative, collegial, high performing team committed to professional excellence.

Qualifications
Strong experience in a coordinator or administrative role Familiar with working across a regional, global, or remote cross-border team Experience with shared service capability Legal or other professional services experience preferred but not essential A proactive and customer-centric approach, with a genuine passion for providing exceptional service and support to employees.
Location and Reporting
This role is based in our London office.
Our standard office hours are 09:30-18:00, with a current requirement for 3 days in the office per week.
The role has a direct reporting line into our Legal Recruitment Manager, EMEA and day to day operational oversight would be provided by our Recruitment Advisor, EMEA
