Position Description:We are looking for an Office Technician to join our Construction Team in our Michigan offices. Candidates must have at least three years' of related experience, a High School Diploma, MDOT certified Office Technician and prior MDOT document experience or training. Field Manager experience and a valid driver's license is also required. Strong written and verbal communication skills/coordination skills are critical along with computer proficiency.

Typical responsibilities include:- - Set-up and maintain complete project files in FieldManager and ProjectWise - Track material usage in accordance with the contractors' Material Source Lists in FieldManager and ProjectWise - Review/edit Inspector Daily Reports in FieldManager and ProjectWise - Interpret project plans, specifications, and Special Provisions. - Prepare draft Contract Modifications - Review contractor payrolls and verify prevailing wage (Davis/Bacon) on MDOT and federally funded projects in LCPTracker - Prepare biweekly estimates in FieldManager - Review contractor payments to subcontractors in MERS - Prepare certification letters, substantial completion letters, final inspections letters. - Write letters to contractors/owners and expedite resolution for various issues (i.e. deficiency lists) - Assist in the preparation of proposals - Prepare project status and other reports - Prepare project records for MDOT audits and/or other agencies, including internal project self-audits - Monitor task budgets and progress - Assist Project Managers with duties as assigned - Attend client, public, project and staff meetings including client progress, plan review, pre-construction, etc. - Attend seminars and/or training classes - Maintain excellent client relations - Maintain a safe working environment
Education:- - High School Diploma
Skills/Experience:- - Minimum of three years of experience with FieldManager - MDOT Certified Office Technician - Prior MDOT document experience/training - Computer proficient - Valid driver's license
