Position Overview
The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking anorganized, professional, and energetic individual to serve as Medicaid &Title IV-E Foster Care Office Coordinator. Under direction, thisposition will independently perform a variety of complex secretarial andtechnical office support functions relating to Federal Medicaid andTitle IV-E foster care programs. The position will perform advanced wordprocessing functions for foster care requests for medical assistanceforms and will upload and download information regarding FederalMedicaid and Title IV-E programs. The position will also monitor theFoster Care/Medicaid/Federal Title IV-E process related to medicalcoverage and review and process data entered on computer systems by DCFSfield staff. In addition, this position will provide secretarial andcomplex, specialized office support functions for the Medical SupportUnit Supervisor. Job Responsibilities
1. Serves as Medicaid & Title IV-E Foster Care Office Coordinator,independently performs a variety of complex secretarial and technicaloffice support functions relating to Federal Medicaid and Title IV-Efoster care programs; performs advanced word processing functions forfoster care requests for medical assistance forms generated from acombination of temporary medical card requests and case opening dataentered on computer system by DCFS staff
2. Monitors the Foster Care/Medicaid/Federal Title IV-E process relatedto medical coverage, Reviews and processes data entered on computersystem by DCFS field staff, Coordinates forms and reports to be worked
3. Provides secretarial and complex, specialized office supportfunctions for the Medical Support Unit Supervisor
4. Reviews and processes Medicaid applications for Illinois Departmentof Corrections (DOC) youth in care who are placed outside of DOCfacilities
5. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonablywithin the scope of the duties enumerated above
