Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Shortage Category and/or Critical Need Positions to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: The Summer Hire program is from May thru August 2024, will need to be available to start by May 24, 2024. Management may fill multiple vacancies at each location. Applicants applying for Yankton, SD will have their duty station set as St. Helena, NE. Responsibilities Enter and compiles data for preparation of reports. Produce typewritten fill-in forms, narrative reports, statistical and tabular listings and correspondence. Maintain vehicle records to document current status, prepare assignments, and schedule service and maintenance. Receive visitors and telephone calls and provides information or refers to appropriate contact. Prepare payment vouchers and processes incoming bills for office supplies and services. Administer the time and attendance records for office personnel. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications This is an open-continuous announcement. Referral lists may be requested to fill vacant positions throughout the life of the announcement. General experience is progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled. OR Education: Two years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of by 60. Add the two percentages. Education FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
