Job Overview
Children's Hospital Colorado's Rehabilitation and Therapy Services offersa comprehensive 12-month pediatric hand therapy fellowship for occupationaltherapists interested in treating pediatric hand and upper extremityconditions. We provide clinical and didactic opportunities that give thefellow experience caring for various injuries and conditions of the upperextremities in children and young adults. Please reference the fellowshipwebsite for more information on admission criteria and fellowship programrequirements.The Occupational Therapy Fellow provides patient care as assigned bysupervising clinical faculty. The position is responsible for completingpatient charts and documentation according to departmental standards. TheFellow provides occupational therapy services including evaluation,treatment, follow up and documentation using general competencies forinpatients and/or outpatients referred to the OT department; providessupervision for therapy aides/assistants and students with specific patientsor tasks as appropriate; and provides continuous consultation and educationto patients and families. Department Name: Broomfield Occupational TherapyJob Status: Full-Time; eligible for benefitsShift: Monday - Friday at the following locations: North Campus, SouthCampus, and Highlands Ranch Therapy Care. Shifts will generally be 8 hoursbetween 9am and 5pm, but could vary slightly based on needs of the clinic.*This position will be open to applicants between January 15, 2024 andMarch 15, 2024. Candidates will be screened by the hiring team and thosewho are selected will be contacted the week of April 4, 2024 to schedulepreliminary interviews, which will take place (virtually) on April 15th.Finalists will be scheduled for an additional (virtual) interview onApril 22nd, and a hiring decision will be made by Fri ay, April 26th. Thestart date for this position is Monday, July 29, 2024.
Qualifications
EDUCATION -Bachelor's degree in Occupational TherapyEXPERIENCE - At least one clinical rotation in pediatric OT or a hand therapysetting and six (6) months of experience working with children in anyclinical or non-clinical capacity such as babysitting, teaching,coaching, camp counselor or leading a youth group.CERTIFICATION(S) - BLS for Healthcare Providers/CPRLICENSURE - Colorado State Registration for Occupational Therapy - NationalBoard for Certification in Occupational TherapyThis position may require a BLS certification from the American HeartAssociation.
