We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Operational Excellence Manager to join our dynamic O2C (Order-to-Cash) department. As the Opex Manager in the O2C department, you will be responsible for leading the team that is implementing process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency, quality, and effectiveness of our order-to-cash operations in our journey of becoming a world class performance department. You will play a critical role in driving performance improvements, reducing operational costs, and delivering exceptional customer and employee experiences while optimizing, standardizing and helping automate our operations as much as possible. Additionally you will lead the design of new business models under the O2C cycle that will allow booking.com to expand our business.
Key Responsibilities: Coach, lead and mentor: Lead the team of Operational Excellence analysts to deliver our world class performance journey. Stakeholder management: liaise and manage the relationship with key stakeholders to define the strategic approach and the delivery of the continuous improvement initiatives. Process design: Co-create the required set of processes under the O2C Cycle in order to support a B2C Model. Process Optimization: Analyze end-to-end O2C processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. Develop and implement strategies to streamline operations and enhance productivity. Automation and Technology: Identify opportunities to leverage automation and technology solutions to optimize O2C processes, reduce manual efforts, and enhance accuracy. Innovation: Lead the O2C team implementing technologies like AI, Machine Learning and Block chain. Design the innovation process for O2C. Continuous Improvement: Lead cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, eliminate waste, and standardize best practices. Champion a culture of continuous improvement throughout the O2C department. Data Analysis: Utilize data-driven insights to identify key performance metrics, set targets, and track progress towards operational excellence goals. Implement KPIs to measure and report on the department's performance. Change Management: Implement change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of process improvements, including training, communication, and stakeholder engagement. Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure that all orders are processed accurately, payments are received/performed in a timely manner, and customer inquiries are resolved efficiently. Cost Reduction: Work to reduce operational costs and identify opportunities for cost savings while maintaining or improving service quality. Compliance: Ensure that O2C processes adhere to relevant regulatory and compliance standards, and develop strategies to enhance compliance and reduce risk. Qualifications: 8+ years of demonstrated experience in Continuous Improvement/Operational Excellence teams. Demonstrated experience leading Operational Excellence teams. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. MBA or relevant certifications are a plus. Lean six sigma Black Belt Certification is a must. Proven experience in O2C, finance, or operations management, with a focus on process improvement and operational excellence. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making. Excellent project management, change management and stakeholder management skills. Proficiency in process mapping and improvement methodologies. Knowledge of ERP systems and automation tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, RPA). Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
