About the Role
This role will be based in a hybrid/remote working capacity, and we are fully supportive of flexible working arrangements.
As a NX CAM Support Engineer you will be part of the Customer Support & Success team, to provide technical support to our customers and partners in the EMEA region. To be successful you will have excellent working knowledge of NX CAD/CAM functionality and practical knowledge of manufacturing practices.
Area of Responsibility
Analyzing software issues and system errors that may arise while using the NX CAM applications within a customer environment and clarifying the causes of these occurrences.Working with customers remotely via Desktop Sharing, telephone and/or email. Using your trouble shooting skills to take the necessary analytical steps to systematically narrow down and clarify the defects and help the customer by providing workarounds.Developing a solution for the customer and ensure that it is implemented correctly (within the bounds of the service/support contract).Working closely with our international team of support engineers and software development team. If a software defect is identified, coordinate the correction of the error with the respective software developers. In critical cases you are involved in the prioritization of development resources.Opportunity exists to work with specific customers to help them adopt and expand their use of the NX product portfolio.
Your Qualifications & Experience
A customer focused technical support professional with a passion to engage customers in solving their issues and helping them succeedDegree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or comparable technical training with professional experience in an Engineering Design environmentExperience in software issue analysisGood knowledge of NX CAM functionality gained from practical experience in an end-user or support role, for example:5-Axis MachiningIntegrated Simulation & Verification (ISV) - toolpath and machine simulationThe ability to analyse and modify post-processorsExperience of NX integration with Teamcenter is an advantage, based on experience gained in an industrial environmentAnalytical thinkingIndependent, structured, and responsible working methodsTaking initiative, team player, communicative, adaptable
