POSITION SUMMARYTo be fully engaged in providing Quality/No Harm, Customer Experience, and Stewardship byassisting licensed personnel in providing direct nursing care under the direction and supervisionof the Registered Nurse.

Contributes to the customer experience goals as evidenced by positive patient experiencescores/comments and/or other written compliments10.May have access to rooms that contain IV solutions, authorized medications and suppliesas needed for patient care responsibilities11.Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals (i.e. use of 2 patient identifiers) when accessingpatient information and in performing job duties12.Demonstrates personal accountability in economically using and caring for equipment andsupplies
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS• Education:o Current enrollment in an RN or LPN program with successful completion of handson clinical coursework.o May remain in Nurse Tech role up to one (1) year after graduation from LPN/RNprofessional nursing program, until ATT (Authorization to Test) is received and/or NCLEX is failed twice• Certification: Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Health Care Provider and maintain• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:o Must meet unit-specific care requirementso Ability to speak and understand verbal and written instructions in the English languageo Ability to focus and prioritize multiple activities
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS – Moderate• Physically agile; may require walking, standing running, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing or crouching frequently• Medium work that may include lifting or moving objects up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, with or without assistance• May require moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces, including reaching out and above shoulders or over head• May lift, turn, pull, push, or ambulate people and/or equipment with or without assistance up to 90% of the assigned shift• May be exposed to inside and outside environments with varied temperatures, air quality, lighting and/or low to loud noise• May require working with biohazards such as blood/body fluids and airborne particles following OSHA and CDC Guidelines.• Communicating with others to exchange information.• Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks• Workspace may vary from open to confined; on site or remote• May require travel to various facilities within and beyond county perimeter; may require use of personal vehicle
