Casual call/PRN nuclear medicine position.
Position Summary:
Develops and maintains a comprehensive program of services for pediatric patients and their families and aid in the adjustment to living with a temporary or chronic physical and behavioral issues. This includes advocacy, community education, counseling/therapy, research, program development, evaluation, and any other assigned responsibility relating to pediatrics and social work. Focusses on prevention and promotion strategies for the social and emotional development and wellness of children and their families. Provides screening, brief intervention and referral expertise and diagnosis for children and their families. Position will serve as a member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team to improve the screening and management of social, emotional and behavioral concerns and interrelated medical conditions for patient of the primary care practice.
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of an Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited radiology program, or equivalent.
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in radiology/nuclear medicine or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) or equivalent
Three (3) month on the job training experience or equivalent
Preferred: One (1) year relevant experience
Essential Job Functions:
Performs nuclear medicine exams and procedures as requested by the medical staff.
Assists the Radiologists and other medical staff during exams and procedures.
Performs ancillary duties as required to maintain proper distribution, billing, and archival of exams and procedures
Completes documentation, in designated area, of all information required for proper interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams.
Retrieves and file exam jackets, written orders, and related health information to insure the timely performance and reporting of NM exams and procedures.
Participates in the implementation, monitoring, and improvement of the hospital quality indicators as described in the strategic plan.
