Idaho National Laboratory’s (INL)) Reactor Physics Methods and Analysis group is seeking forward-thinking professionals interested in exploring a career as a Nuclear Engineer (Neutronics).
Our team works an onsite 9X80 schedule located at our Research Education Campus with every other Friday off!
Responsibilities Include:
Applies and develops advanced concepts and techniques. Works on complex problems and provides solutions which may be highly innovative and inventive. Often acts independently to uncover and resolve problems. Actions may contribute to achieving significant department business objectives. May serve as advisor to project and line management in area of technical expertise. May act as spokesperson to customer in area of expertise. With guidance as needed, may plan, conduct, and execute research or application efforts on technical projects that may result in the origination and application of new and unique approaches. May provide leadership and consultation to co-workers. Performs detailed neutronics and multi-physics analyses. Works with project manager, designers, customers, and other analysts to develop design requirements, recommend design changes, and develop integrated analyses in order to ensure that requirements are met. Performs peer reviews. Develops and improves simulation and modeling models and/or methods. May provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior staff as appropriate. Publishes work in journals and presents work at technical conferences and meetings
Minimum Requirements:
PhD in nuclear engineering or closely related field
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE "L/Q" clearance which requires U.S. citizenship

Salary Grade PR0200-210 ($95,928 - $158,232)/ PR0300 -220 ($110,316 - $181,956)
Multi-Level: This is a multi-level posting and the selected candidate will be placed at the appropriate level dependent on depth and breadth of proven experience and skills.
TDP: This is a testing designated position; you will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and periodic drug testing throughout the term of your employment
