Summary: The vascular technical staff assumes the responsibilities specified by the Lead Vascular
Technologist and, in general, is responsible for the performance of clinical examinations and other tasks assigned.
Education: Successful completion of an ultrasound, vascular technology or cardiovascular technology program.
Licensure: Appropriate credential in vascular testing.
Experience: 1 year experience as Vascular or Cardiovascular Technologist with performance of at least 600 non-invasive vascular examinations.
Skills and Abilities:
Preparation of preliminary reports and contact referring physicians when required, according to established procedures.
Assume responsibility for the safety and well-being of all patients in the vascular lab area.
Review patient s record prior to and after the completed exam to ensure all required data is available for image interpretation.
Maintain quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures.
Perform other related duties as required.
