DescriptionEssential FunctionsAssists healthcare providers in the ambulatory setting.Obtain patient past and present ocular and general medical history.Perform visual acuity.Perform diagnostic testing under the supervision of physicians and techs. These tests include visual field testing, keratometry, pachymetry, intraocular pressure check.Takes responsibility for self-development and supports a learning environment.Uses interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other customers.Provides age specific care to patients from toddlers through elderly.Scribing for Physician.Provide other patient services and education as requested by the physicians.Required For All JobsPerforms other duties as assigned.Complies with all policies and standards.For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
