Our Nocturnist APP's work in collaboration and consultation with other physicians, APPs, staff RNs, and other health care professionals, providing holistic, compassionate care to inpatients and their families and empowers them to achieve their best health. They are a member of the hospital interdisciplinary team and facilitate continuum of care for patients from admission through the discharge process. The Nocturnist APP's patient load is managed to allow Nocturnist APP's to truly focus on their patients' health care. Programs with emphasis on inpatient clinic rotations preferred. For Physician Assistants Current Minnesota Registration/Licensure as a Physician Assistant Applicants issued a Temporary Registration by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice may work as a physician assistant but may not prescribe medications. (A temporary registration is granted to physician assistants who have not yet obtained NCCOA certification.) Applicants issued a Temporary Permit by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice may work as a physician assistant, including prescribing medications. A p ysician within the PA's practice must submit a DEA co-sign letter to the North Memorial Health Care Credentialing Office if applicant does not have a DEA certificate; a DEA is required at the time privileges are approved.
