Job Description
Perform inspections and mechanical adjustments, diagnose, repairs and parts replacement for the company fleet and heavy equipment. This position supports road crews overnight
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose services through proficient use of electronic equipment
Analyze equipment malfunctions and administer the proper corrective action
Ensure repair orders are completed accurately including use of current parts and manufacturer updates and changes of vehicle/equipment requirements
Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor
Overtime (more than 40 hours per week) may be required at times as business needs dictates
In depth knowledge and understanding of hydraulics, electrical systems, and diesel engines
Education & Specialized Knowledge
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Valid Driver's License and safe driving record required
current CDL license with air brake preferred but not required
5+ years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance required

Physical Requirements
Must meet physical requirements for the job, including the ability to lift, carry and maneuver items up to 70 lbs, including bulky objects. These positions require repeated reaching, standing, stooping, kneeling, bending and onto and under a variety of equipment. Must be able to work outside in inclement weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, dampness and humidity. This job description is not intended to all-inclusive.
