This role is responsible for managing the transition of products from development to production in the Mechanical Power Conversion facility in Rockford, IL. The products would include air turbine starters, fuel and oil pumps, gearboxes, and/or blowers.This position will sit onsite at our 2421 11th street, Rockford, Illinois plant.May be eligible for relocation.Primary Responsibilities:
Accountable for the full lifecycle of products and services from inception through completion, inclusive of pursuit and order capture, design and development, produce to deliver, service/support, and long-term strategic business plans.Further define this function within the Collins Management System (CMS), establishing best practices and defining Standard Work applicable to Mechanical Power Conversion (MPC) Rockford.Create and manage the Industrial Plan for development programs. This includes tracking schedules and progress for vendors and Collins plant sites to ensure flawless on-time delivery of initial production units. Also includes regular updates to management.Function as the Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead for the "Produce to Deliver" phase of programs, driving actions and setting priorities for the team in order to meet customer delivery milestones.Identify supply chain and operations risks and drive risk mitigation plans.Help drive industrial recoveries as needed in the supply chain, including but not limited to finding alternate sources, driving rate readiness reviews with critical suppliers, etc.Ensure all quality-related items for products are complete and documented to meet established quality standards.Guide production innovation, including additive manufacturing, for starters, fuel and oil pumps and gearboxes to enhance production capabilities.Perform professional or management work regularly across multiple manufacturing disciplines.Includes activities that cannot be attributed to a defined Operations disciplineRepresent the Program to the company senior leadership, managing and reporting on-time delivery, production capacity, and customer satisfaction.Responsible for the business performance of assigned programs and customers including operational performance, sales, EBIT, and cost reduction.Ensure customer satisfaction through strong communication and concise presentation material.Manage and communicate production deliveries.Manage and communicate demand and orders into the operations value stream.Qualifications/Experience Needed:
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.Preferred Qualifications:
