Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Network Specialist for an 11-month contract, 5 days a week in-office, in Calgary Alberta with one of Canada's largest Energy companies. Joining the network team, this candidate will use their experience and expertise to support a diverse enterprise network environment. From participating in projects to selecting and deploying new solutions to provisioning and incident resolution, they will participate in all stages of the network life cycle. The successful candidate will have experience in tier 2 network support (the highest escalation level at this company) and be highly motivated, resourceful, and able to produce high-level work in unsupervised environments.
Skills and Requirements
8 years of network industry work experience
Experience working on Tier 2 support and above
Strong Wi-Fi operating experience (especially Cisco) and Cisco ISE (NAC)
Post-secondary education in Networking technologies, Computer Science, or Information Technology (or equivalent experience and certifications)
In-depth knowledge of general network troubleshooting and monitoring practices
In-depth knowledge of Wi-Fi management on Cisco platforms preferred Maintain and configure; Wi-Fi infrastructure through WLCs and DNA-C, routers and switches (Cisco/Juniper), load balancers (F5), management platforms (Cisco ISE/Prime/DNAC, F5 Big-IQ) and network documentation, security appliances (Cisco FMC/FTD/ASA, SonicWall)
Coordinate troubleshooting and service recovery of escalated network and customer-reported issues
Provision of new devices and services to meet business objectives
Research, design, and deploy new solutions to keep network service capabilities leading edge
Ensure critical network infrastructure meets disaster recovery requirements and industry security standards null
