Overview
This position provides technical support for the Bank's data network infrastructure. Installs, maintains, and configures network hardware and software. Resolves technical issues reported by users or system alerts. Responsible for network components, asset inventory, and capacity planning, including developing and documenting network device upgrades. Drives operational excellence and network efficiency, providing continuous service both through daily activities and through on-call rotation for after hours support.
This role is remote eligible.
Responsibilities
Works with architect and engineers on implementation and operation of Networking technologies.Participates in the implementation of network technologies and executes tests using established procedures and test cases, reports on results.Within a larger project, leads the execution of project elements of notable complexity-such as implementation of new technology or upgrade, develops the strategy for execution.Ensures all implementations follow the agreed designs, reviews, and signoffs.Assesses performance of installed technologies, analyzes data, identifies any vulnerabilities and compliance, escalates as appropriate.Provides inputs to design decisions, contributing an understanding how the technology performs in Data center environment.Ability to work in a team environment and support multiple customer issues at a time while prioritizing workload based on severity of requests/incidents.Collaborates with peers and other internal teams to solve unique and complex issues, requires conceptual and innovative thinking and experience to develop solutions.Recommends best practices for solving internal/external or business issues.Supports business and customers in the implementation, maintenance, and support of network infrastructure core services.Can quickly grasp customer requirements, anticipate the needs and challenges and impact, and steer the technical direction of the solution.Creates and maintains comprehensive network documentations, including network diagrams, configuration policies and procedures.The base pay for this position is relative to your experience but the range is generally $94,715 to $164,712 per year. This position is eligible for variable compensation, which may be in the form of incentive, bonus, or commission pay. Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Data or converged networking OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Data or converged networking
Requires in depth and specialized knowledge and experience in DDI engineering and management.Hands on experience on Infoblox/Efficient IP/NS1Experience investigating and diagnostics incidents and problems relating to DDI and related services.Detailed understanding of data network concepts and operational functionality. Solid knowledge of TCP/IP Networking. LAN/WAN internetworking technologies. Network application protocols (DNS, DHCP, IPAM, FTP, SSH.etc) client browser behavior, IP security, 802.11 standards and packet capture analysis.Must have knowledge of industry best practices, trends and benchmarking regarding processes, services, and engineering solutions.Prior experience with day-to-day management and integration of IP segmentation and configurations in a multi data center environment.Gigamon or equivalent technology experience will be good to have.NAC (Forescout/ISE) experience will be good to have.Strong written and oral communication skills required.
