Leidos Digital Modernization sector has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, self-directed Senior Network Engineer. This position is in support of a Department of Defense (DoD) organization, US AFRICOM located OCONUS in Stuttgart, Germany. This position is required to travel OCONUS.

As the Senior Network Engineer you will supervise and provide your technical expertise, training and mentoring to Network Engineering and Administrator teams. You will be maintaining, analyzing, troubleshooting, repairing and supporting all switching and routing devices, firewalls, load balancers, alarmed carrier devices, uninterruptable power supplies, in-line network encryption devices, etc. Configure devices in accordance with security policies. Maintain and update OS and firmware as required. Monitor and report operational status. Resolve connectivity issues when they occur to include working closely with vendors and service providers. Develop and maintain IP address schemes for all assigned networks, and annually review and update the Master IP Routing Schema. Manage circuit provisioning throughout the delivery life cycle. Install and test circuit and base extensions and coordinate with external entities and the Government leads for end-to-end testing and activation. Monitor capacity and utilization. Provide trending and capacity planning services to analyze and plan for efficient utilization and management of the network. Troubleshoot and correct all detected or reported network faults or outages. Install, configure, key, re-key, and manage NSA Type 1 Encryptors. Provide assistance via remote access, phone, or in person. Candidates need excellent problem-solving and customer service skills, as well as extensive experience with network hardware, software applications, operating systems and network connectivity. They must be customer service-oriented and proactive in anticipating and resolving problems while maximizing efficient use of resources.

Interface with both client managers and system users.
Provide lead Network Support for LAN/WAN, RAS services. Network Operations Center (NOC) Support Lead. Lead the management and operation of the JRSS, AV, VoIP, VTC, UC, and maintenance of Voice servers.
Perform/support/direct all network activities to include IPTV services, CSfC support, and the support to the FLAGSHIP network.
Conduct annual service continuity site assessments, identify deficiencies to include single points of failure, and recommend architectural and design modifications and improvements.
Coordinate hardware and software system installation and ensures specifications are met.
Create and maintain thorough documentation for all incident resolutions and troubleshooting instructions in the Knowledge Databases.
Work with hardware and software vendors to verify timely product delivery and ensuring that new equipment is installed and ready to operate on schedule.
Analyze and make recommendations for hardware and software standardization.
Provide remote support and/or travel to customer sites as required.
These are the Required Qualifications:
Currently hold an adjudicated Top Secret/SCI clearance and be able to maintain.
Eligibility for TESA and ability to work in Germany which requires: BA/BS + 8 years recent specialized or AA/AS + 10 years recent specialized or a major cert +11 years recent specialized or 13 years of recent specialized experience.
Current Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Enterprise or Data Center
Current CompTIA Security + (IAT Level II or greater)
Expert level experience working with and supporting Cisco Routers and Switches in a complex enterprise environment
Experience with Cisco software defined networking (ACI)
These are the Preferred Qualifications:
CCIE Data Center
ITIL v3 or v4 – Foundation
Automation using Microsoft PowerShell, VBScript, or batch files
Adaptable to changing circumstances and operational needs
Understanding of Department of Defense Military standards
Experience with DoD IT security requirements

Pay Range:
Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
