Summary
Responsible for analyzing, designing, installing, configuring, maintaining and repairing of global network infrastructure and application components. Perform a wide variety of evaluation, maintenance, installation and training tasks to ensure the computer network performance meets company and user satisfaction. Provide direction, information, and recommendations regarding network configurations and installations across all sites including multiple manufacturing plants.
Responsibilities
• Maintain a thorough understanding of the basics behind the Internet and its workings (DNS, DHCP, IP Routing, Switching, HTTP, VPN, Email Routing, SPAM, etc.).
• Configuration and installation of vendor network appliances for access to vital business applications.
• Design, install and configure sophisticated routing/switching and 802.11 environments.
• Develop, implement, and administer plant\process Ethernet network comprised of Hirschmann, Cisco, and other Rockwell devices and software
• Assist in the design of diverse server environments including IP address schemes, DNS, DHCP, EtherChannel etc.
• Manage Storage Area Networks (SAN) based on top tier vendor switches.
• Install and configure software for upgrading and maintaining network and telecommunication systems.
• Maintaining multi-site network operations and software applications, operating systems and regular maintenance with both private and public facilities.
• Managing assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives and technical requirements in a timely and responsive manner.
• Responding to inquiries from staff, administrators, service providers, site personnel and outside vendors etc. to provide technical assistance and support.
• Supervising the administration of systems and servers related network to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of services to authorized users.
• Troubleshooting network hardware and software applications, telephones and security systems to resolve operational issues and restore services.
• Any other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
• Solid technical, analytical and interpersonal skills required.
• Minimum of five years of experience in managing network infrastructure from top tier vendors
• Current CCNP, CCDP, or CCIE certification in routing and switching is a plus.
• 3+ Years of experience managing network infrastructure within a manufacturing environment is a plus
• Experience managing network environments in a retail setting is a plus.
• Knowledge of mGRE, VRF, VPN, BGP, OSPF, proxies, IDS/IPS and firewalls is required.
• Strong understanding of Firewalls, IDS/IPS and UTM devices
• Knowledge of Cisco LAN/WAN and Wireless products.
• Ability to communicate in an understandable, polite and friendly manner, both written and verbal.
• Strong team, organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in an enterprise business environment.
About Us
Compensation Range: $88,000.00 - $132,000.00, plus bonus.
