Grant Thornton is seeking a Network Engineer to join the team. Approved office locations can be found below.
The Network Engineer is responsible for overall technical and operational oversight of GT’s campus network services and cloud network deployments. Primary functions include defining engineering and deployment standards for network projects, ensuring operational stability, and security compliance. In addition, the Network Engineer will bring thought leadership for new solutions and have ownership of defining, maintaining, and enforcing implementation of best practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide engineering responsibility for network campus solutions and other network related efforts.
Engage with existing MSPs and carrier providers for project engineering implementations.
Be conversant with current industry best practices.
Drive standards documentation and configuration templates.
Identify gaps in current services and bring forward solutions for assessment to leadership.
Review and approve engineering configurations, deployment plans, and technical documentation with the managed service provider.
Escalation point-of-contact for all network infrastructure related issues.
Participate in an on-call rotation for network support.
Adhere to ITIL standards.
Additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
10+ years of experience in network engineering with operational experience.
Experience of SD-WAN Silver Peak and Prisma/Palo Alto solutions.
Experience with IP Management Toolsets.
Experience with DNS configuration and support.
Experience with various wireless solutions and standards.
Experience of working with multiple vendors/service providers at an engineering and operational level.
Knowledge of cabling media, industry standards and associated interfaces.
Considerable experience in datacenter and campus design, engineering, implementation, and support.
Extensive experience with Routing/Switch/Firewall platforms.
Comprehensive understanding of TCP/IP, QoS, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP, EIGRP, RIP, Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols.
Exposure to cloud providers (Azure, AWS, and other platforms).
Ability to work well under pressure in both an operational environment and on project implementations.
Familiarity with Azure DevOps, ServiceNow will be beneficial.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively.
Exceptional client service skills, with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding relationships.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
Travel percentage: up to 20%

The base salary range for this position in the firm's Denver, CO office only is between $112,500 and $187,500.
The base salary range for this position in the firm's New York, NY, Melville, NY Bellevue, WA, Los Angeles, CA, Orange County, CA and San Diego, CA offices only is between $121,500 and $202,500.
The base salary range for this position in the firm's San Francisco, CA and San Jose, CA offices only is between $129,400 and $215,600.
