Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented, innovative Mid-Level Network Engineer to join our team. The Network Engineer will play an integral role in supporting the design, management, and optimization of our organization's internal and external networks.
Responsibilities:
Designing, implementing and maintaining network architecture, services, and applications in alignment with our company's business requirements and goals.
Troubleshoot network problems and outages, diagnosing, resolving, and documenting hardware and software network failures.
Collaborating with network architects on network optimization.
Securing network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, and through the definition and monitoring of access.
Upgrading data network equipment to the latest stable firmware versions.
Configuration of routing and switching equipment and hosted IP voice services.
Performing network maintenance, system upgrades, and security configurations.
Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to help resolve complex network problems.
Conducting regular network performance tests and system backups.
Documenting and monitoring network processes, vendors, logs, and hardware inventory.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience as a Network Engineer, or a related role.
Comprehensive knowledge of networking technologies, network design principles, and network management practices.
Advanced understanding of network protocols and procedures.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues.
Professional certification (e.g. CCNA, CCNP) will be considered as an advantage.
Proficient with firewall configuration, VPN and other network security measures.
Strong knowledge of IP networking and Internet technologies including routing, switching, DNS, and DHCP.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Articulate, with proven ability to explain complex concepts in plain language.
