　　Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career, & customer-oriented Network Engineer to join our team in the Chantilly, VA area to provide unparalleled support to our customer & to begin an exciting & rewarding career within ManTech.

　　As a Network Engineer you will be responsible for providing network engineering support for a large distributed IT infrastructure. You will evaluate design documents, install equipment, implement, test, perform problem isolation & resolution, monitor & tune networks, & set standards across a wide range of network facilities. This includes physical media, protocol stacks, hubs, routers, bridges, gateways, digital servers, line drivers, telecommunications transport facilities, & network management components. You will also research, evaluate, & recommend new IT network equipment, platforms, & technologies. Challenges include devising solutions to complex operational problems within the capacity & operational limitations of installed equipment. You will assist with development & execution of contingency plans for network failures, specifically isolated nodes & major outages.

　　Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

　　Install, configure, test, & troubleshoot complex multi-faceted physical & virtual network configurations

　　Design, develop, implement, & integrate customer systems, networks, components, & IA architecture

　　Provide system or network designs that encompass multiple computers & networks to include differing data protections/classification requirements.

　　Firewall, router, & Virtual Private Network (VPN) engineering & integration support into customer baseline architecture.

　　Ensure the architecture & design of the customer’s information systems are functional & secure.

　　Foster cooperative relationships with mission partners & interconnected systems.

　　Manage, maintain system configuration to include documentation, installation, planning, configuration & evaluation of existing & new hardware.

　　Assist customers in understanding information security needs, defining & designing system security requirements, developing & implementing detailed security designs & measures to safeguard information, & assessing information protection effectiveness.

　　Position Requirements:

　　BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Technology/Systems, or related field, equivalent experience.

　　5 or more years IT experience w/Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years of IT experience w/high school diploma, specifically 5 or more years of experience as Network Engineer

　　Knowledge & experience providing network infrastructure procurement, installation, configuration, & testing.

　　Experience in network engineering & administration, data protocol analysis, network security, network configuration, & provisioning clients.

　　Experience in the following areas: hardware/software, router & switch communications protocols, network management, encryption techniques & protocols, firewall rule definition & management, intrusion detection, & authentication technologies.

　　CompTIA Security+, or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT-II level certification required.

　　Demonstrated ability to focus through difficult problems to provide successful solutions.

　　Occasional travel, 25% CONUS

　　Security Requirements : Must possess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph

　　Physical requirements :

　　Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time.

　　Must be able to communicate, converse, & exchange information with peers & senior personnel.

　　Constantly operates a computer & other office productivity machinery, such as a computer.

　　Constantly positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks & in server room/ IT closets.

　　Frequently moves IT equipment weighing up to 50 pounds across & around a business campus or large facility.
