RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide exceptional support to customers utilizing Azure products, solutions, and APIs
Deliver technical assistance as part of a global 24x5-support organization
Collaborate closely with Engineers and Product Managers to enhance the product and ensure customer success
Handle change requests and incident tickets for the remaining Infrastructure Teams - Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management
Follow notification and escalation procedures diligently
Adhere to communication standards involving operational issues
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Networking Engineer or a combination of Networking and Sysadmin roles
Prior experience with Azure projects
Proficient knowledge of Linux/UNIX and Windows Server
Familiarity with web and mail protocols (HTTP, TLS, SMTP, etc)
Experience with network protocols and technologies, TCP, UDP, HTTP/HTTPS, REST, SOAP, NFSv4.x, SMB
Experience with routing protocols like (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, VRRP, IP, HSRP, MPLS, BGP for dual ISP, etc. protocols) and set up load balancing
Strong understanding of network security practices and tools (firewall policies, rules, best practices, VPN, IPSEC, GETVPN)
Experience with shell scripting
Familiarity with multi-tasking and multi-processing
Familiarity with container’s networking implementations
Experience with VMs
Ability to set up monitoring, conduct performance audit and performance optimization
Strong understanding of administration (user accounts, permission models, access control)
Experience troubleshooting with network troubleshooting tools (traceroute,iperf,tcproute), and at identifying latency and performance issues (traffic egress/ingress, routing, forwarding rules and connectivity, etc.)
Familiarity with common Linux troubleshooting tools (vmstat,iostat, lsof,strace)
Expected to be able to design, deploy, follow, explain and enhance defined ITIL/ITSM processes in his team as well as linked teams. Knowledge of Software development processes and methodologies
Provides tactical vision. Expected to be self-managing, take technical responsibility for a subsystem or a whole project, work without supervision and test his work thoroughly using test cases
