Description
As a Network Administrator, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our network. Your responsibilities span the spectrum of network development, installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization. This role involves troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues promptly while providing essential end-user training as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and conduct capacity planning for the network infrastructure.
Explore network products, services, and standards to support procurement and development efforts.
Install, configure, and maintain network servers and operating systems.
Offer guidance and assistance to users regarding network system operations.
Diagnose and resolve network equipment issues, conducting repairs or upgrades when necessary.
Develop effective data recovery systems and oversee scheduled backups of network data, ensuring functionality through periodic system restoration tests.
Install, configure, and maintain network cabling and related equipment such as hubs, switches, and UPS. Oversee installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of end-user hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
Implement and maintain security measures (IPS/IDS, Firewall, Anti-Virus, etc.) for robust internal network protection.
Collaborate with InfoSec to establish and enforce policies, procedures, and standards for LAN, WAN, security, and asset use.
Requirements
Minimum Associate degree in computer science or related field (B.S. preferred).
Proficiency in LANDESK usage, network VLAN configuration, Azure Virtual Networking, Server Virtualization (VMWare), network and routing protocols, Windows Server, Azure Active Directory, HP switch configuration, VLAN programming, and intermediate PowerShell skills.
2+ years of Microsoft Azure Virtual Networking Support experience.
Ability to independently install software and hardware on networking equipment and microcomputers, troubleshoot, and perform routine maintenance.
Clear and concise communication abilities with end-users, colleagues, and senior leadership.
