SMX is seeking a passionate and experienced .NET Developer with a strong focus on DevOps practices to join our team and contribute to the development and delivery of high-quality, scalable web applications. You will play a key role in designing, building, testing, deploying, and maintaining .NET applications, while ensuring optimal performance and user experience. This position is remote supporting a Quincy, Massachusetts based program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop, test, and maintain scalable and high-performance .NET applications using C# and the latest versions of the .NET framework.
Implement web applications utilizing ASP.NET, ensuring optimal functionality and user experience.
Utilize Git for version control, demonstrating proficiency in branching strategies and resolving merge conflicts.
Work with GitHub repositories, leveraging GitHub Actions for continuous integration and automation.
Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful deployment and operation of applications.
Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, continuously improving development and DevOps processes.
Required Skills/Experience:
Associate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Additional experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
3+ years of experience as a .NET Developer with a strong focus on modern development practices.
Experience with C# and the .NET framework, with a preference for experience with .NET Core or .NET 5/6.
Proficiency in Docker containerization and container orchestration.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and familiarity with automated testing frameworks.
In-depth knowledge of Git, GitHub, and Git workflows.
Previous exposure to AWS DevOps services and/or AWS cloud environment is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset in addressing development challenges.
Desired Skills/Experience:
Hands on experience with Docker containerization and container orchestration.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and tools.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles using Terraform or ARM templates.
Strong understanding of YAML syntax, particularly in the context of CI/CD configurations.
Experience with Front End technologies such as Angular or React.
Previous exposure to AWS DevOps services and/or AWS cloud environment.
