The Opportunity
Williams International has an exciting opportunity for a NDT Technician to join team. The NDT Technician will have responsibility for conducting ultrasonic inspection using pulse echo and linear/phased array equipment. He/she will participate in inspection related activities to ensure that parts are manufactured in accordance with manufacturing standards and specifications.
Additionally, the NDT Technician will:
Conducts penetrant, magnetic particle, ultrasonic, radiographic or eddy current inspection when necessaryManufacture and/or tests parts according to engineering and customer standards and specificationsPerform inspection and/or testing related activities to ensure that parts are machined in accordance with manufacturing standards and blueprint specificationsVisually inspects parts to ensure they are free of burrs or damaged surfacesRemove burrs, sharp edges, tool marks and other irregularities from machined parts to ensure they are in accordance with engineering blueprints, and tolerance requirementsMaintain proper identification of parts per planning specifications and ensures that accurate and reliable records and documentation are maintainedCommunicate change of shift requirements to ensure team members receive accurate and reliable information and documentationPerform routine maintenance of machines and equipment operatedClean, organize and maintain cellular manufacturing work area in accordance with established standardsEnsure the continuous flow of materials and parts through the CellAdhere to all safety standards and regulationsParticipate in the training and development of other Cellular Manufacturing Specialists to promote the continuous quality improvement of manufacturing operationsOther duties as assignedQualifications
High School or GED and three to five years of experience in three out of five of the NDI methods (PT, UT, RT preferred)3+ years of experience as a Level II in the three methodsCertifiable as an NAS 410 Level IICertification in penetrant inspection is a plusMust be able to read, understand and correctly interpret basic blueprint drawingsEffective interaction with team members, customers and all levels of managementCapable of lifting 50 pounds from floor to height of 25 inches, capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds, have a grip strength of at least 50 pounds and be able to reach above shoulder 65 inches above floor level (minimum)U. S. Citizenship requiredPosition requires the ability to obtain a U. S. Government Security Clearance, if needed. Candidates selected may be subject to a U. S.
