  The Systems Engineering Division (SED) provides unmatched experience insystems engineering to the U.S. government and to numerous public and privateagencies, universities, nonprofit organizations, consortia, andcommercial companies involved in the advanced application of space technology.From systems architecture development to system analysis and optimization,astrodynamics, orbital debris, navigation, failure analysis, missionassurance, cost and schedule assessment, and economic market analysis,SED exploits an incredibly broad array of engineering and business disciplinesagainst a diverse and dynamic portfolio of programs and national challenges.

  The Navigation and Geopositioning Systems Department (NGSD) is seeking aSenior Project Leader to lead and direct position, navigation, and timing(PNT) force design activities for the Space Warfighting Analysis Centerand Space Security and Defense Program customers. The position requirestechnical leadership and experience related to: mission design, satellitenavigation, rendezvous and proximity operations, Cislunar studies,autonomous navigation, and space domain awareness. Additionally, theposition requires the ability to engage with customers, define strategiesfor PNT architectures, and mentor junior staff. NGSD serves as acenter-of-expertise in the development and advancement of PNT technologies forthe national space enterprise.   What You'll be Doing:Provide leadership toward the growth of department goals, strategicvision, and direct support to NSS and Civil/Commercial programs.

  Provide technical mentorship of junior staff and customer personnel.

  Advise key stakeholders and government customers by leading a range ofnavigation and space enterprise modeling, simulation, and analysis. Workwill be in the focus areas of orbit management, precision/autonomousnavigation systems, advanced space system navigation, PNT technologies,and enhancing the resilience of key mission areas in the space enterprisearchi

  Conduct and lead technical deep dives, trade studies, and assessments inteams with multi-disciplinary technical leaders, Aerospace Program Officepersonnel and external customers including defense and civil agencies, suchas the U.S. Space Force, the National Reconnaissance Office, the NationalAeronautics and Space Administration, Federal Aviation Administration,National Nuclear Security Administration, and others.

  Develop and present timely and technically accurate briefings and reports thatclearly communicate analysis results and provide recommended solutions,supporting critical decisions in collaboration with technical leads,management, and customers.

  Lead and guide the development and maturation of analysis software tools,implementation of best practices, and analysis software tool odernization.

  What You Need to be Successful

  Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree from an accredited program in Engineering, Science,Mathematics or related technical discipline.Experience in one or more of the following subjects: modeling,simulation, and analysis, such as orbit determination, orbitprediction, state estimation, orbit management systems, maneuverreconstruction, mission data processing, signal processing, spacethreats, resilient systems, advanced PNT technologies, algorithmdesign, software development, or mathematical modeling.Ability to lead a program and/or activitiesProficiency with at least of the following programming languages/tools:C, C++, Python, Fortran, MATLAB, Java.Effective written and verbal communication skills.Willing to travel domestically to customer and contractor facilities.This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a securityclearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is requiredto obtain a security clearance.
