Job DescriptionThe primary duties of this position are to assist Idaho Department of Fish and Game biologists with the collection of fisheries data. This position may assist Avista or Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks biologists with similar work. Fieldwork duties include sampling fish using various gear types and other field duties as assigned. This position is intended span July 1--October 31.
Requirements
Applicant must have high school diploma or GED equivalent.
Additional education and/or experience in the natural resources field is preferred, but not required.
Applicant needs to be self-motived and a hard worker.
Must be capable of conducting strenuous field work and willing to work long hours, nights, and weekends.
This position requires the ability to work with minimal supervision, keep accurate records, adapt to varying work schedules, and work outside in a variety of weather conditions.
The applicant must be capable of being trained in safe and proper operation of equipment related to the project.
Must be able to follow instructions, communicate effectively, and possess a valid driver's license.
This position may be filled on a regular basis without further competition at the conclusion of the assignment by the employee selected for the temporary position.
