Johnson & Johnson Health Care Systems Inc. is recruiting for a National Policy & Advocacy Manager supporting the Solid Tumor, Oncology therapeutic area. The geographic preference for this position is East Coast based, with frequent travel to Titusville NJ, Horsham PA and Washington, DC.

The National Policy & Advocacy Manager, Oncology (Solid Tumor) will be responsible for managing & implementing strategic business initiatives while supporting efforts to engage partners in response to shaping policy that maintains and improves access, quality of care and establishes equity for patients. The National Policy & Advocacy Manger, Oncology will contribute to Janssen’s advocacy strategy for each brand and launch brand within the Oncology franchise.
The National Policy & Advocacy Manager will report to the National Policy & Advocacy Director. The position will provide general support for coordinating and fulfilling the benefit attributions for related Oncology sponsorships, including Congress and Conference support as well as Professional and Patient Advocacy engagement. An extensive knowledge of J&J HCC policies and partnerships, ensuring timely processing, is vital.
Key Responsibilities:
Seamlessly coordinate and fulfill required benefit attributions of brand & advocacy sponsorships to ensure compliance by collaborating closely with the Oncology Marketing Teams and Professional Promotion/Patient Experience brand leads.
Optimize execution of advocacy strategy between our National Advocacy Partner network and internal NA pharmaceutical functions (Brand and Franchise marketing, Communications, Scientific Affairs, PECS, SCG, DE&I and Field Leadership).
Coordinate staffing at promotional events to promote synergies, align to promotional objectives (brand/DSA/health equity), adhere to HCC policies & limit T&E expenditures.
Timely communication of benefit attributions to both internal and external partners.
Connect with HCC regarding compliance issues/questions related to contract requests.
Track benefit attribution fulfillment on sponsorship tracker for Advocacy sponsorships.
Coordinate meetings between advocacy and internal teams, including the delivery of quarterly summaries. Monthly meetings with Brand leads and Health Policy & Advocacy Team for a status update.
Partner with Brand teams, Health Policy & Advocacy Team and project owners to complete all “Requests For Information”.
Creation of SharePoint and excel tracking for supporting documentation (sponsorship LORs/benefit attributions) to be referenced by all internal partners.
Initiate, update, and navigate internal project management systems to obtain project approval ensure agreements are compliantly implemented, scopes of work align with budget parameters, and ensure that invoicing is processed promptly (ie Totality, ARIBA etc).
Create and maintain executive summaries for key advocacy organization and professional societies.
Serve as a liaison for field insights generation including pre-call planning and post event insights sharing
Qualifications
Education:
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required with 5 years related experience.
Experience and Skills:
Required:
Strong influencing skills, good verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to partner with associates at all levels of the organization.
Ability to successfully handle multiple priorities in a constantly evolving, dynamic environment and work independently while demonstrating initiative.
Keen analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
Preferred:
Oncology business experience for 5 years is strongly preferred
Experience working with Totality, SAP, DocuSign and other compliance tools is preferred.
Other:
This position may require up to 25% domestic travel.The base pay range for this position is $99,000 to $170,200. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs such as health insurance, savings plan, pension plan, disability plan, vacation pay, sick time, holiday pay, and work, personal and family time off in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
