Summary
The National Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying, engaging and selling new customer business. $8-$10M annually. In addition, management and development of existing accounts, relationship building, customer retention and growth, liaison internal/external between both corporate organizations. The National Business Development Manager will be managing an average of $20-30M annual book of business.
Responsibilities and Expectations
Develop and/or manage leads resulting in $8-$10M in new business sales annually over 'national coverage' in all industry segmentsDevelop and maintain a diverse and balanced pipeline with at least $20M in new growth opportunityDevelop and/or manage existing customer accounts resulting in $20-$30M in business sales annually over "national coverage" in all industry segmentsDevelop and maintain strong customer relationships at the corporate levelFull customer management responsibilities from on-boardingAutonomous work ethic Represent 48forty at various tradeshows & industry events, developing network and establishing 48forty as solutions providerRepresent 48forty in all facets of professionalismUtilizing solutions, match potential organizational capability to various needs as identified by customer base
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain or other equivalent academic disciplines preferredFormal sales training preferredMinimum of at least three to five years of experience in a regional sales or national sales positionExperience in the Logistics, Industrial Packaging, Transportation, or Pallet/Container industries is preferredExperience with account management, sales management, client relations, business to business sales strongly preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skillsCreative thinkingConsultative selling techniquesProblem solving and analytical abilitiesNegotiation abilitiesSupply-chain knowledgeSuperior computer skills and MS Office experience (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) are a mandatory requirement
