The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
Description
National Broker Manager collaborates with National leadership teams across USRM and GRS to shape and advance broker strategy within USRM and develop national capabilities. Leads team of USRM broker focused national relationship executives and oversees execution on national distribution priorities, underwriting collaboration, facilitating best practice transfer across USRM, drive improved process efficiency, and optimize profitable growth across broker distribution portfolio. Promotes strong broker-centric culture focused on improving engagement and profitable growth. Accountable for results and tactics to maximize growth, adjusting strategies where appropriate to support national/regional goal achievement. This position may have in-office requirements depending on candidate location.
Collaborates with aligned partners, across GRS and USRM, to articulate and drive broker strategy by leading the team that is responsible for facilitating the execution of strategic and tactical plans between brokers, the USRM field and home office teams. Identifies and coordinates relevant areas of expertise to deploy in support USRM priorities. Responsible for pipeline management of large-scale growth opportunities through brokers (panels & book consolidations) across all phases. Takes ownership of regular deep dive reviews with the national leadership team, focused on key distribution topics within aligned brokers. Handles escalated issues from national broker contacts related to service, underwriting, programs and claims in coordination with local teams. Translates national broker strategy and priorities into concrete action plans to be executed, tracked in partnership with aligned distribution teams. Effectively leverages internal partners and dependencies to drive relevant programs based on national broker models. Supports financial & operational planning and prioritization processes for NAM. Drive successful issue resolution for customers and agency partners. Responsible for driving employee engagement by creating a team culture of collaboration, supporting talent movement, ensuring development and performance management - all through the lens of DEI. Qualifications Bachelor`s degree or equivalent required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred. Experience in a distribution management role focused on insurance and P&C product knowledge required. Preferred understanding of channel strategy and specifically broker characteristics, and commercial marketplace including product level details. Displays a broad understanding of insurance industry competitive dynamics and trends - locally, regionally and nationally. Strong analytical background with strategic thinking capabilities, influencing skills, attention to detail and ability to effectuate change. Ability to work in a matrix environment and lead by influence across various levels of stakeholders collaborating across multiple geographies and business groups. Prior demonstrated success in leadership role with significant responsibility for business results, setting and implementing strategy, and project management. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management both verbally and in writing. Ability and willingness to be mobile and travel. Significant travel is required (approx 25% of the time). About Us
