LEAD PERSON - 3rd Shift- Multivac **This is aDiscretionary Position** POSITION SUMMARY: This position isresponsible for overseeing the department under the direction of theproduction supervisor. This person will help complete necessarypaperwork, perform audits, and other various duties to help keepproduction running efficiently. Responsibilities: * Manage safety, foodsafety, and productivity. * Manage department labor including jobrotation assignments, labor efficiency, and labor adjustments as neededby applying contract rules for labor movement. * Assist withmaintaining downtime sheets and OEE boards * Assist with and coordinateproduct changeovers to maximize uptime and ensure process control *Assist with the training of new and transferred people by utilizingstandardized work. * Assist with the management and timely usage of rawmaterials and rework. * Assist with management of SAP. * Performvarious audits of rework, safety, and food safety in order to ensurecompliance. * Perform various audits of the processes on the raw andpack side to validate the adherence to quality standards, and to helpdrive reductions in giveaway, rework, and inedible. * Summonsmaintenance as necessary. * Must have knowledge of all jobs within thedepartment to include set up and tear down of equipment. * Perform anyother work as assigned by management. Requirements: * Minimum of a HighSchool Diploma or GED equivalent required. * Must have the ability anddemonstrated skills necessary to work well with all levels of theorganization. (Employees, Supervisors, Superintendents and Managers) *Must possess and demonstrate good oral and written communication skills.* Must be a self-starter and be able to work with minimum direction. *Ability to work well under pressure and possess good multitaskingabilities to handle various tasks and/or projects. * Ability to performbasic math functions. * Ability to perform HACCP and perfect packagechecks as necessary. * Ability to complete all paperwork and SAPfunctions as required for position.
