Job Description
This university is seeking a Multimedia Support Specialist to assist a growing team. This person will be responsible for set up and configuration of audiovisual equipment, including sound systems, projectors, screens, and other AV components. They also will ensure all equipment is in optimal working condition and troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise. This person will be required to provide classroom, meeting and event support; such as collaborating with faculty, event organizers, presenters, and other stakeholders to understand their AV requirements and address any concerns. Lastly, this person will be responsible for testing and maintenance of the equipment. This person will be required to be onsite 5 days a week in Hoboken, NJ.
Skills and Requirements
5+ years of experience in audiovisual technology or a related field.
Experience with Windows-based and Mac-based platforms.
Familiarity with Crestron, web-based video conferencing platforms (Zoom, Teams), PTZ cameras (Logitech, Huddly, 1 Beyond, Vaddio, Poly), microphone systems (Shure), smartboards, and projection systems/displays (Epson, Samsung).
Proficiency in operating remote-control systems (Crestron, AMX), and audio digital signal processing (DSP) programs.
Ability to comprehend audiovisual system diagrams.
Strong customer service skills and white glove service experience. Audiovisual industry certifications preferred, such as InfoComm Avixa CTS, audio digital signal processing (DSP) certification (ClearOne, Biamp, Polycom, etc.), and Crestron Technical Institute certification.
Experience in event/meeting support (in-person/hybrid). null
