Job Description:The MRI technologist is responsible for compassionate andappropriate patient care while performing MRI examinations under the directionof a physician to assist in the medical diagnosis or treatment of injury.

As an MRI Technologist you need to know how to:Operate a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images used by physicians inthe diagnosis and treatments of pathologies.Possess thorough knowledge and understanding of the principals and physics ofmagnetic resonance imaging.Select appropriate imaging techniques and protocols to complete the exam.Receive patients, explain method of examination, and position patient,perform IV puncture, and administer IV contrast agent when indicated.Independently perform and complete routine examinations.Meet the needs of the patient, family and multi-disciplinary team througheffective communication, coordination and documentation ensuring safety,care, courtesy and efficiency.Actively participate in quality initiatives to ensure the highest level ofpatient satisfaction, highest level of patient care and workflow efficiencies.
Minimum QualificationsAssociate Degree or equivalent from two-year College or Technical School; orone year minimum related experience and/or training, required- CurrentARRT (R) (MR) or NMTCB registry, required- Current BLS certificationendorsed by the American Heart Association, required- Ability to interactwith people of all ages, required- At least one (1) year of experienceas a MRI Technologist, preferred
