　　The Role

　　We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate DiL (Driver in the Loop) Systems Engineer to join our dynamic motorsports team. As a Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge hardware systems for our DiL simulators. Your expertise will be essential in supporting DiLs in use for multiple racing series, gaining a competitive edge across all GM motorsports endeavors.

　　What You'll Do

　　System design and integration: Collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure needs and requirements are met across teams and series and all systems integrate seamlessly to ensure overall system compatibility Ensure alignment of systems (mechanical and electrical) across series Safety and Reliability: Implement safety features and fail-safe mechanisms to protect drivers and equipment System Performance Optimization: Continuously identify and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency and performance of the DiL simulation systems. Analyze bottlenecks and optimize the simulation environment for real-time operation Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated with relevant motorsports regulations and ensure that control systems comply with the specified rules and regulations for different race categories. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive and well-organized documentation for all DiL systems, including design specifications, installation procedures, user guides, and technical reports. Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation, including control system specifications, testing procedures, and performance reports, to facilitate knowledge sharing and support future developments Research and Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in control systems, electronics, and motorsports technology, and apply innovative solutions to gain a competitive edge

　　Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

　　Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field 5+ years of post-graduation experience in motorsports or automotive industry Knowledge of motorsports data acquisition systems and data analysis tools Experience with rapid prototyping tools and hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) testing Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
