About the team
We are looking for entrepreneurial spirits to join our monetization strategy and operations (MSO) team. You will have a ground floor opportunity to shape monetization efforts in Japan. In this role, you will partner with cross-functional leaders to assess performance and plan for the future.
The MSO organization provides business critical insights using analytics, ensures cross functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams drive strategic partnerships and new initiatives forward. We stay focused on aligning the highest-level company priorities with effective day-to-day operations, and help evolve early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives.
Our team uses data analysis to help drive the company's monetization strategy and operations. We're looking for a Strategy & Operations Associate to drive analytics initiatives that guide operational excellence for our Japan business.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Japan management team across sales, product, and marketing to develop a monetization / GTM strategy to achieve high and sustainable revenue growth
- Define key performance metrics and set KPIs to drive business growth. Track business progress and provide consistent optimization for business operation
- Conduct in-depth research on competitors, industry and macro movements, to provide actionable insights to the business team, with a special focus on advertising products
- Lead short to long term business planning, partnering with senior management to identify market opportunity and key initiatives to drive the business expansion
- Design revenue enablers, including commercial deals for direct and agency clients
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in APAC and Japan to ensure effective cooperation
- Support new business launches in Japan
Qualifications
- Business level Japanese and English
- More than 3+ years of work experience in a high growth tech company, strategy consulting firms or financial institutes
- Strong analytical skills and story lining
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, and proactiveness in problem-solving
- Fast learner, highly entrepreneurial with a good sense of judgment and original thinking
- Experience in comprehensive industry research is a plus
- Experience in commercial deal desk is a plus
- Experience in digital advertising with a great understanding of advertising products is preferred
