* Drive discovery
* Make big ideas a reality
* Achieve excellence together
* Embrace scientific integrity
Key Responsibilities
* Development, qualification, and validation of molecular assays under minimal supervision.
* Independently design primer and fluorescent hydrolysis probes for gene targets of interest to support qPCR, RT-qPCR, and possible ddPCR assays.
* Understand viral vector designs and develop appropriate molecular assays to support assay development in gene and cell therapies.
* Understand appropriate statistical models and acceptance criteria for assay performance, relevant to assay qualification and validation.
* Collaborate with other team members to advance cross-functional scientific projects and standardize adoption of new scientific techniques.
* Following an onboarding period, the candidate will perform assay development research under minimal supervision, but in close collaboration with other members of the scientific team.
* Perform recombinant DNA activities, ranging from cloning (Gibson Assembly, PCR, Vector Digestion) and DNA plasmid purification (small & large-scale) and in vitro transcription to generate assay controls.
