Department Overview
The Platform Delivery Team is responsible for coordinating and/or testing changes or enhancements to the components of the MLE Platform (Model Lifecycle Environment), a Linux based platform running SAS Analytics software. They promote framework and model changes, as well as support both pre-cycle and in-cycle processes across model execution and model development and help support SAS, On-Prem servers/processes, and Azure infrastructure. The Platform Delivery Team helps facilitate appropriate access to Azure as well as MLE's supporting tools like Bitbucket, Confluence, and JIRA, groups and roles in Active Directory and SAS metadata, and monitors platform storage. This team partners with the Information Technology (IT) team to ensure the MLE Platform operates efficiently with minimal disruptions and assists in troubleshooting issues as they arise. This team also explores opportunities to expand the platform's usability through new hardware and toolsets.

The Modelling/Forecasting Senior Specialist is a primary or top technical expert who defines technical plans, anticipates demands, identifies opportunities with a broad cross business or enterprise focus. Top level specialist in the creation of significant and highly specialized or complex data models.Generally accountable for a significant advanced analytics and/or modelling function or area that typically has enterprise wide impact or accountability Enterprise or functional expert, requiring broad managerial and deep specialized knowledge with enterprise scope Undertakes and completes a variety of complex initiatives requiring for own area requiring seasoned specialist knowledge and/or the integration of cross functional processes Position typically deals with senior/executive management Focuses on longer-range planning for functional area (e.g. 12 months or greater) May manage and prioritize multiple projects at a given time Leads on managing business data modeling needs for the overall function and ensure data modelling requests / activities are aligned to overall strategies Provides deep and highly specialized subject matter expertise to other modelers and /or internal partners as needed in the development of data analytical models Provides business leadership with emerging industry trends and/or leading edge concepts on data analytics, descriptive and predictive models Reviews modifications to existing data models to improve efficiency and performance Manages data model consistencies and standards Works with technology teams to guide the Data Model Interface with business to discuss database and model issues Develops best practices for standard naming conventions and coding practices to ensure consistency of data models Recommends opportunities for reuse of data models in new environments Evaluates data models and physical databases for variances and discrepancies Works effectively as a team, supporting other members of the team in resolving critical service issues Prioritizes and manages own workload in order to deliver quality results and meet timelines Supports a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation, and teamwork; ensure timely communication of issues / points of interest to the team and business units Continuously enhances knowledge / expertise in own area and keep current with leading-edge technologies trends Identifies and recommends opportunities to enhance productivity, effectiveness and operational efficiency of the business unit Validates business data objects for accuracy and completeness Develops data models according to Bank standards
Job RequirementsMust be eligible for employment under regulatory standards applicable to the position. Undergraduate degree or technical certificate 10+ years of relevant experience Experience making complex, broad, and strategic predictions based on a vast amount of past and/or present data through the development of statistical and/or mathematical models Strong analytical and program solving skills are required to interpret data and draw conclusions Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Qualifications
Preferred requirements: 5+ years using Linux based systems Understanding of various types of storage 2+ years experience working on/managing technical projects Knowledge of SDLC Processes and best practices Experience working with Cloud Infrastructure Knowledge of Information Security best practices Experience with SAS Analytics, Python and scripting
