The MMAP Site Coordinator is primarily responsible for assisting with outreach and counseling activities related to Medicare and Medicaid; coordinating aspects of the Medicare Medicaid Assistance Program (MMAP); including providing support, oversight and training MMAP team members.
Duties Include:
Provide ongoing oversight, technical support, and assistance to MMAP team members to ensure that they are providing beneficiaries with accurate information and engaging in proper counseling & outreach techniques. Monitor MMAP counseling, outreach, and program support activities completed by team, and submit paperwork as required.
Perform annual assessment of Team Members and engage in quality assurance activities, coordinate counseling and outreach activities of volunteers and provide assistance as needed.
Conduct presentations, outreach activities, and promotional activities that build awareness of MMAP and educate on health benefit programs for older adults and persons with disabilities.
Maintain current knowledge and expertise of Medicare and Medicaid programs. Communicate Medicare and Medicaid policy changes to team members in a timely manner. Attend statewide trainings, annual statewide volunteer recognition event, and other MMAP activities.
Organize and conduct orientation for new team members and update trainings for MMAP team members. Assist MMAP Manager in coordinating initial training and annual regional volunteer recognition event. Conduct recruitment, screening, and interviewing of potential MMAP Counselors/Team Members.
Counsel beneficiaries and their representatives on Medicare or Medicaid options.

Qualifications
Minimum requirements include:
Associate Degree in Health and Human Services. Bachelors Degree preferred.
Minimum 6 months - 1 year experience in health and human services and successfully coordinating volunteer programs. 1-2 years experience preferred.
Must have a valid drivers license.
Excellent oral, written, interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
The ability to effectively interact with managers, other agency employees, and community members. Excellent time management and attention to detail.
Able to successfully coordinate volunteer programs.
