Job descriptionJob Title:Millwright Purpose and Objective of Job:Candidate will install, dismantle, repair, and reassemble machinery. Work can require working on pumps, compressors, conveyors, hydraulics, various air lines, truck dumps, welding and fabricating, and any other assigned tasks as needed to help assist with maintaining plant production goals.Job Duties:Must be able to read and understand technical blueprints on machinery.Willing to work in various conditions such as (wet/dry, clean/dirty, and inclement weather based on seasons working inside and outside in South Ga climate.Will use a variety of hand tools, such as hammers and levels, as well as equipment for welding, brazing, and cutting.Needs to have a strong mechanical aptitude, at least (5) years of experience in the trade.Cuts materials using proper tools and efficient at positioning parts in jigs and using tools to insure fit.Willingness to perform other duties as assigned or required by the Shift Leader, Supervisor, or ManagerMust be familiar with the following:Pellet Mill Set Up and Maintenance. (On-Site Training may be required)(Roll Replacement, Adjustment Die Replacement, and Adjustment and other).Mechanical Drive Replacement and/or Repair (Belt Drives, Chain Drives, Gear Box, Drives Spur, Gear Drives, and other).Material Handling Equipment Repair. (Screw Conveyors, Belt Conveyors, Bucket Elevators, Drag Conveyors, and other).Pneumatic Systems Replacement and/or Repair (Solenoid Valves, Actuators, Air Compressors, Blowers/Fans, and other).Hydraulic Equipment Replacement and/or Repair (Pumps, Solenoid Valves, Actuators, and other).Will require Welding and Cutting depending on project work or equipment repairs.Knowledgeable with shaft and belt alignment as well as using torque wrench and laser alignment toolsJob Requirements:
Must follow lockout/tagout as well as confined space procedures when working in, on, or around equipment.Must be able to climb ladders up to 65 in height and work with tools/wrenches.Must be able to communicate at all levels of the organization.Must be able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned. Must maintain good housekeeping and ensure tools are in good working condition and uses proper tool for the jobResponsible for reporting and documenting damage to equipment or property.Must be able to perform tasks with minimal supervision.Must be able to work shift schedule, (days off varies, 7am-7pm and/or 7pm-7am),Overtime available when needed.Must be able to bend, sit, reach, stand, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs. without any difficulties.Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions, (hot, cold, wet, and dry).Must follow all policies and procedures as related to the employee handbook and any other policies as generated by HR.Able to complete assigned task in a safe and efficient manner Completes maintenance work orders for all work completed and or assigned
