Job Summary
Performs programming work in support of the NEH-funded UChicagoNODE, apartnership between the University of Chicago Library and the HumanitiesDivision to bring together existing digital assets and interfaces fromthe Library and faculty projects into a comprehensive, modernized,sustainable digital humanities ecosystem.
Responsibilities
Convert existing metadata into linked-data format.Migrate Digital Collections into an OCFL-based file structure.Works with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements fordevelopmental programs. Works with stakeholders to gather andanalyze requirements for developmental programs. Receives a moderatelevel of guidance to design applications to meet University andbusiness requirements.Coordinates implementation with web developers and Unix/Linuxsystems administrators.Investigates, analyzes and resolves day-to-day technical problemsusing standard procedures.Performs code testing on components and works to ensure thatappropriate implementation standards are met. Evaluates designalternatives for development cost and solutions using variousmethods.Performs other related works as needed.Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in relatedfield.

Experience:
At least three years of experience with two or more programminglanguages, including Python.Experience working in an academic library or similar researchenvironment.Preferred Competencies
