The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Air Dominance (AD) Product Security Engineering (PSE) organization is seeking a Mid-level Product Security Engineer to provide technical and leadership support to cyber security activities in the AD Phantom Works current and future portfolios . This position is in Berkeley, MO.
The AD PSE team leads the development, implementation, sustainment of product security, resiliency through requirements, design, build, test, production, operations, and support lifecycle.
This position is part of Boeing's PSE Organization, which is a growing multi-disciplinary engineering team responsible for the security and resiliency of Boeing's products, platforms, and services, such as F/A-18, F-15, MQ-25, T-7A, F-22 and Phantom Works. This position includes responsibilities across Phantom Works program(s) and products, including the design and development of next generation systems.
The AD PSE must be able to consistently, pro-actively recognize and work through a wide range of cybersecurity issues to resolve. This position involves implementing appropriate security controls and requirements per JSIG, DoD and ICD 503 RMF, NISPOM, or DoD Overprint to the NISPOM as required by customers. This candidate has opportunities to shape and influence Product Security Engineering in Phantom Works and engage with Boeing’s Enterprise Product Security community.
Primary Responsibilities :
Provide project leadership in key development, production, and research areas
Represents AD PSE organization as prime point of contact for assigned projects
Support functional requirements validation and sell off
Provide inputs for planning, scheduling, and Risk, Issues, Opportunity activities for cyber security
Supports derivation/development/updates to system requirements
Ensures architectures for product security meet all applicable certification/requirement
Creates/supports product security requirements for suppliers
Interact with all stakeholders & industry to enhance regulatory security standards
Supports research and development activities resulting in innovative solutions
Advises stakeholders on maintaining product security and certification
Perform cyber and systems security engineering of embedded computing products
Perform security pedigree assessment of software assurance activities and products
Assess risks, threats, and vulnerabilities of the products
Implements appropriate security controls and requirements per JSIG, DoD and ICD 503 RMF, NISPOM, or DoD Overprint to the NISPOM as required by customers
Travel (up to 25%) is required for meetings with customers, internal meetings, etc.
This position requires to be 100% onsite.
The role on the team may require obtaining certifications such as Security+ or CISSP to comply with contract requirements.
This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance (A U.S. Security Clearance that is current within the past 24 months is considered active.)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
1+ years’ experience analyzing, deriving and/or allocating requirements
Previous cybersecurity technical experience
Knowledge of tasking performed throughout engineering development lifecycle (requirements, design, software, test & integration)
1+ years’ experience working with and building cross-functional teams and partnerships with multiple stakeholders within the company, engineering and test
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience working with government customers and government programs
Knowledge of cyber security incident response protocols (e.g. containment)
Experience in system and component level cyber test and evaluation
Experience in threat and security assessments
CISSP certification or Security + certification
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Typical Summary pay range for role: $112,200 - $151,800
