Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Mid-Level Product Data Management Specialist (Level 3) to join our team that supports Airplane Certification – Eligibility (AC-E) in Renton, Washington.
This role is for the Airplane Package Manager (APM) team that supports the AC-E process. The work largely involves generation and validation of the Airplane Change Project List through Major-Minor change form audits, Major-Minor Summary Reports (MMSRs), certification plans (CPs), and other general certification support linked to AC-E. Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills are necessary to be successful in this role.
Position Responsibilities:
Defines, documents and interprets product requirements relevant to certification, configuration, data and data management and engineering processes
Develops, documents and implements plans and processes to ensure products meet technical, data, regulatory and company requirements and to maintain configuration control
Tracks and reports data to monitor adherence to regulatory, data configuration and contractual requirements; supports audits and reviews to ensure products meet requirements
Assists with development of certification plans, integrated process architecture infrastructures, process models, product structure definitions and/or data requirements/data management processes
Manage list of changes to type design for airplanes assigned
Collaborates with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and other engineering disciplines in order to validate changes to type design are tied to the appropriate airplanes and to ensure that everything necessary for engineering book complete (EBC) is completed in a timely manner
Run Major/Minor Summary Report (MMSR) at various intervals (90/60/30 days prior to rollout and ad hoc as needed)
Provide the final Airplane Change Project List (ACPL) to the certification airplane package
Assists with development certification plans, integrated process architecture infrastructures, process models, product structure definitions and/or data requirements/data management processes
Works under general direction
The selected candidate will be required to perform work onsite in Renton, WA.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee .
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Experience working on commercial aircraft programs
3+ years of experience on data/file management
3+Experience in MS Excel and manipulating data tables and formulas
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
Associate’s degree
Strong communication skills
Project management skills
Experience in MS Access/VBA
Experience in Configuration/Change Management
Experience with certification process
Experience with Design Change Classification System (DCCS)
Experience with Lean Certification System (LCS)

Pay Range: $85,0000-$115000
