POSITION SUMMARY:
The Manager of Strategic Talent Communications will serve as a key member of the Talent Team responsible for shaping and strategically telling the Talent "story" to guide the awareness, education, engagement, and adoption of talent efforts for our global employee population across levels. This also includes creating a holistic Talent narrative that integrates enterprise and HR elements (e.g., Propelled by People, Trifecta, RCG Strategy, etc.) into our global portfolio of talent offerings and programs, and how we talk about them.
POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Talent Program Narrative Strategy
Manage the overarching talent narrative strategy to fuel the awareness, education, engagement, and adoption of talent efforts across the global talent portfolio.Develop and implement internal communication plans that represent the portfolio of talent offerings, clearly demonstrating their value proposition, benefits, expectations and importance to our people and the business.Responsible for the shaping and drafting of C-suite and other leadership focused collateral on the progress, effectiveness and of global talent efforts.Create and draft communications to ensure they are compelling, convey a clear objective, and demonstrate alignment with Talent, HR, and enterprise objectives.Plan and prioritize communication collateral to meet commitments aligned with the Talent Team and organizational goals, considering risks and contingencies. Analyze and anticipate potential obstacles to the effective impact of planned communications and marketing/adoption tactics, and proactively offer mitigation actions to address them.Be a lifelong student of language, understanding its power and impact, and leveraging it to maximize awareness, connection, adoption, and impact
Enterprise Integration
Identify and drive the integration of key enterprise messaging into the global portfolio of talent solutions across our populations, proposing the right engagement, framework, tools, and governance for execution. Stay abreast of key business routines, processes, and events to recommend the right timing and placement of talent-driven communication and marketing collateral across key stakeholder groups.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Advisor to others across the Talent Team to further strengthen the team's capability at communicating and reporting the progress and impact of talent efforts within their scope.Partner and advisor with the Manager, Talent Metrics to define and integrate a framework to measure the reach and effectiveness of communication strategies across the talent portfolio. Includes analyzing the collected data to identify themes and insights to advance the strategy.Partner with HR Transformation, Corporate Communications, and other stakeholders to secure alignment of approach, channel, and timing of communications.
Team-wide Communications Support and Governance
Be a visual design guru with an eye to the aesthetic, clean simple and effectiveAbility to take an idea, concept or goal and bring it to fruition through storyboarding Support the Talent team in communicating a clear story telling through a data-driven and visually impactful lens, with an appreciation for the audience necessaryManage the organization, tracking, evolution, and accessibility of departmental collateral such as SharePoint sites, talent tools, communication, marketing, and other assets to ensure they remain relevant and accessible.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in human resources, communications, business, or another related field.Substantial work experience together with comprehensive job-related experience in own area of expertise for fully competent level with a global audience.Experience planning and managing work projects to deliver predetermined objectives set by more senior managers.Strong customer orientation and ability to work reciprocally with team members, across functions and in a multi-cultural, diverse environment. Ability to travel (up to 10%).
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Knowledge and understanding of communication and marketing strategy, design principles, methodology, process, and tools, including their benefits and risks. Develops and delivers multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences, leveraging a variety of channels (e.g., email, PPT, etc.).Experience with formulating themes and insights from collected data-observational, survey, etc.-for senior leader/executive reporting and awareness.Plans and prioritizes work to meet commitments aligned with departmental, functional, and organizational goals.Builds partnerships and works collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives. Operates effectively, even when things are not certain, or the way forward is not clear.
