Build and Lead Edwards JAPAC Indirect Sourcing Department by establishing Edwards JAPAC Indirect Sourcing Policy together with cross-functional team, educate key stakeholders on newly established process, and enforce policy. Build team to include category specialists that will support negotiations. Analyze current and optimize JAPAC Edwards supplier database. Analyze and transparently report Edwards JAPAC spends and savings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan indirect sourcing projects and activities (e.g., RFx, vendor management, QBR) with accountability for successful completion within scope of project deliverables.
• Provide direction and guidance to smaller project teams to execute tactical indirect sourcing projects and/or initiatives.
• Identify commodity level goals for cost reduction initiatives (e.g. Value Improvement Projects (VIP).
• Identify and evaluate indirect sourcing process improvements and/or course correction/course alignment opportunities.
• Develop and qualify indirect sources in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Develop, monitor, and report risk mitigation.
• Other incidental duties.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree in related field, at least 8 years years experience of previous related experience required.
Additional Skills:
• Proven successful project management skills.
• Knowledge and interest of regional JAPAC role.
• Proven expertise in both Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and source-to-pay (e.g., Coupa) system.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives.
• Extensive knowledge of own area within the organization while contributing to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards.
• Extensive knowledge of contract terms and conditions.
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of full lifecycle of strategic indirect sourcing activities.
• Excellent leadership skills and ability to influence change.
• Strict attention to detail.
• Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment.
• Represents leadership on sections of projects within a specific area interfacing with project managers and indirect sourcing team.
