  Position Summary:

  The Field Construction Project Manager leads Private Destination construction efforts for Royal Caribbean International. This role will execute concepts that directly respond to consumer insights and understand what our guests are looking for to innovate and define what's next in terms of the vacation experience while driving incremental profitability for the brand. Effective project management skills are essential to drive private destination initiatives while leading cross functional collaboration across the project team to provide deliverables on time and within budget. This person is responsible for executing all phases of a construction plan that meets the long-term marketability and profitability goals for the brand's private destinations globally.

  Based in Miami, FL and reporting to the director of construction-private destinations, this position requires the ability to lead teams that ideate and deliver quality land based products for our guests, by both fostering and demonstrating a culture of data-driven and vacation experience focused product thinking, innovation and execution.

  Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  Negotiate and/or support the process of negotiating contracts, subcontracts and purchase orders.Maintain and regularly produce reports utilizing a combination of Project Management Software and Microsoft Office programs.Establish, update, and communicate the Master Project Schedule and manage its implementationPromote RCI's involvement in the community to help build strategic relationships and to embrace local communities.Foster and enhance architect, contractor, subcontractor and vendor relations.Leads and manages a broad range of activities associated with design, pre-construction, construction and closeout.Manage budget and financial reporting, interpret and analyze reports to ensure adherence to project budget.Manage the Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) program.Leads efforts to analyze risk and define schedule related issues, including analysis of long lead materials or equipment which may impact project schedule & forecast varianceServes as the primary contact for project statusProvide leadership in risk evaluation, contract negotiations, fee and pricing decisions.Lead change management processes, by updating logs, routing source documents to vendors, obtaining pricing, developing estimates and proposals.Participates in the design and execution of destinations within the Product Development-Private Destinations team.Support a clear short and long-term roadmap and effectively project manage complex timelines and deliverables.Works closely with key stakeholders from the various departments across the organization to understand how to adapt and evolve the strategy for delivering a flawless product at our private destinations.Lead product development process for global regions Private Destinations while working closely with Project Team on concept development, programming and the accurate execution of concepts to ensure innovation and authenticity are maximized.Guarantee product specifications created enable a desirable and viable product for future guests.Create presentations showcasing construction milestonesto share recommendations with senior management.Performs other duties as required.   Qualifications, knowledge & skills:

  7-10 years of experience leading construction projects as a commercial Project ManagerExperience with commercial projects (retail, restaurant, hospitality).Demonstrate high standard of persona; accountability and integrity.Mentor staff to the same high standards.Bachelor's degree required; construction management, engineering, architecture or similar (preferred)Product Development, Project Management, Industrial Engineering or equivalentPMP CertifiedMarine ExperienceChange Management experience in a global organizationProficient in MS Office (Word, Excel), Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar project management softwareExperience with commercial projects (retail, restaurant, hospitality, marine, large civil projects).Minimum seven years' experience as a Project Engineer, Project Manager, construction manager or in a similar position in construction managementExperience with land valuation, drone surveys, cadastral surveys, topographical surveys, test pit investigation, geotechnical investigation, environmental permit applications process and ecological assessment of sites.Demonstrated basic knowledge of building materials, detailing, construction techniques, building systems selection, related engineering principles, sustainability strategies and building codes;Able to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficientlyAble to analyze structural, architectural and civil drawingsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAccurate and precise attention to detail and highly organizedAble to analyze problems and strategize for better solutionsSolid understanding of the construction industrySelf-motivated and self-directedTechnically competent with various software programs, such as Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Office 365Knowledge of and ability to utilize current word processing, spreadsheet, e-mail and Internet software.Experience with process and industry methodologies for Project Management, KPI development, Process Improvement, & Change ManagementExperience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, fast paced, collaborative environment is essential.Strong interpersonal skills.Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.Data Driven
