Amazon Fresh is a new grocery store designed from the ground up to offer a seamless grocery shopping experience, whether customers are shopping in store or online. We’ve also introduced new ways to make grocery shopping more convenient, including Just Walk Out technology and the Amazon Dash Cart, which enables customers to skip the checkout line, and new Alexa features to help customers manage their shopping lists and better navigate our aisles.
We're looking for a motivated and talented Merchandising Manager to own the merchandising strategy of Alcohol products in our stores. As the Alcohol Merchandising Manager, you will own the designing and implementing the product placement strategy for your respective category. As the strategy owner you will need to communicate your ideas and plans to effectively with internal and external leadership.
You will coordinate with multiple stakeholder teams to make sure deliverables are being met on time and provide visibility to leadership teams on progress of business critical projects. You will also work with business intelligence and technology teams to ensure the data and tools supporting Fresh's ability to scale is evolving in the right way. This role will be working regularly with some of the largest vendors within the industry.
The ideal candidate will have strong customer experience intuition, business and product sense combined with solid understanding of technical concepts. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. High judgment, ability to influence, analytical talent, exceptional communications, and leadership are essential to success in this role.

Key job responsibilities for a Merchandising Manager:
Develop, execute and maintain the planograms across multiple categories throughout the year .
Identify and implement process improvements and opportunities for innovation and simplification in planograms and merchandising processes.
Coordinate cross-functional teams, and communicate with internal and external partners, while meeting tight deadlines.
Act as the ‘business owner’, possessing a thorough understanding of internal and external variables that impact our business.
Conduct financial analysis of business opportunities to meet and exceed goals.
*Manage external resources to deliver on key priorities.

Basic Qualifications
4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using customer research, hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, generate forecasts, and assess the efficacy of marketing programs
Experience utilizing systems and tools involving email, web, analytics, and CRM (Marketo, Tableau, Salesforce, etc.) for targeting, segmentation, reporting for demand generation

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $64,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $155,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
